Welcome to How To Use ZiPmatch ! Before we get into the detail let me just say: thank you for checking in. ZiPmatch is a way of connecting with other people who share your interests or who might be interested in what you want to do. ZiPmatch, a free service, is a combination of a fitness/activity tool and a local social networking site. The two most important tools are: "Post an Activity" and "Find an Activity". Here is a quick explanation of how to use these features. Once you are a member, you can access our support section where you can find out how to use all of the features we have, such as: Edit Your Profile, Interests, Search for People, Create, Search or Find Local Groups or Clubs, and check out our local activities map for a quick overview.

Post an Activity

If you have just joined ZiPmatch and logged in, the Post an Activity column is in the center of your main profile page. Uncheck the "Flexible Time", if you want to specify a certain date and time for your activity. If you are flexible, then just leave it as is.

  1. Activity. Start typing the activity you want to post; walking, golf, birthday party, scrapbooking, bowling, study partner, tennis, biking, bocca. Whatever "moves" you. As you start to type, a list of suggestions will pop up.
  2. Where. Type in where you want your activity to be; at a bowling alley, in a park, at a restaurant or at a specific address.
  3. City, State and Zip. These fields will be populated automatically based on your "Where" input.
  4. More Info. (This is an optional field) Any information about your activity or event that you want to post. Is it a special occasion? Who will be there? Is it a competition? Your reason for doing this?
  5. Invite Friends. This is where you can invite your ZiPmatch friends. Once added, they will recieve an automated invitation to your activity. People who are not part of your friend list at ZiPmatch, will not receive an alert.
  6. First checkbox. Anyone can view and RSVP (public event). If this is checked, it just means that anyone within the ZiPmatch community can see and respond to your activity request. If you uncheck the box, it will Only be available to your ZiPmatch friends.
  7. Second checkbox. Others can invite Partners as well. When this is checked (default is unchecked), the people who responds to this can also invite their friends.
  8. Third checkbox. Show who else is participating on the activity page. Default is checked.
  9. Post Activity. The screen changes and you will get feedback of your post; succesfully posted, or not.
